The search produced a significant evidence inventory. ITEMS RECOVERED (PARTIAL LIST): - Hundreds of photographs of young women (some nude or partially nude) - Compact discs in a locked safe, labeled with names - A locked safe containing: - Cash (large quantity) - Diamonds (loose) - An expired Austrian passport with Epstein's photograph under a different name, listing a Saudi Arabia address - Additional storage media - Personal documents and correspondence - Electronic devices SIGNIFICANCE: The evidence recovered during the search was described by prosecutors at Epstein's bail hearing as demonstrating both the ongoing nature of the conduct and Epstein's flight risk. The discovery of the foreign passport under a false name and the cache of diamonds and cash were cited by Judge Berman in denying bail. The compact discs labeled with names suggested the existence of recordings or images involving identifiable individuals, though the full contents were not publicly disclosed. The Epstein Case in 2019

The year 2019 was the most consequential in the Epstein case. In July, Epstein was arrested by the FBI on federal sex trafficking charges in the Southern District of New York. He was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on August 10, 2019, in a death ruled a suicide by the medical examiner but disputed by independent pathologist Dr. Michael Baden. The documents from 2019 are among the most extensive in the archive, including the indictment, bail hearing transcripts, autopsy reports, Bureau of Prisons records, and the beginning of the Maxwell investigation.
