About the Epstein Document Archive
What is Epstein's Inbox?
Epstein's Inbox is a free, searchable archive of over 446 publicly released Jeffrey Epstein documents. The archive indexes unsealed court filings, flight logs, FBI records, sworn depositions, DOJ disclosures, and victim testimony — all sourced from official government releases including the U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI FOIA Vault, and the Southern District of New York.
The site presents these documents in a familiar, email-inbox-style interface that makes it easy to browse, search, and filter through the released materials. The document archive presents these records without editorial modification — all documents are sourced from official government releases and public court records. The site's blog section provides sourced analysis and context to help readers understand the significance of the released materials.
Document Sources
Every document in this archive comes from an official, publicly available source. The primary sources include:
- U.S. Department of Justice — The DOJ maintains a dedicated Epstein document library at justice.gov/epstein with official disclosures, case records, and investigative summaries.
- FBI FOIA Vault — The Federal Bureau of Investigation has released Epstein-related records through its FOIA Vault at vault.fbi.gov/jeffrey-epstein, including investigative files obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests.
- U.S. District Court, S.D.N.Y. — Court filings from the Giuffre v. Maxwell case (No. 15-cv-7433) and related proceedings, accessible via CourtListener and PACER.
- Congressional Records — Hearing transcripts, committee letters, and oversight documents from the United States Congress.
Each document in the archive includes a link to its original source so you can verify and access the primary materials directly.
How Documents Are Organized
Documents are organized into 16 categories to make browsing and research easier:
The interactive inbox at the home page also organizes documents into three tabs — Primary (core legal & investigative documents), Social (communications & flight logs), and Updates (government releases & financial records) — with full-text search and advanced filtering capabilities.
Key Document Releases
Several major releases have made Epstein case documents publicly available:
- January 3, 2024 — Judge Loretta A. Preska ordered the unsealing of 943 pages of documents from the Giuffre v. Maxwell case, including depositions and discovery exhibits.
- January 2024 (subsequent releases) — Additional batches of previously sealed documents were released following the initial unsealing order.
- FBI FOIA releases — Multiple batches of investigative records released through the FBI's FOIA Vault on an ongoing basis.
- DOJ document library — The Department of Justice has published case records and official disclosures through its dedicated Epstein page.
Blog & Analysis
In addition to the primary document archive, this site publishes a blog with sourced analysis and context designed to help readers understand the significance of the released materials. Blog articles are clearly labeled by category — including Political Analysis, Legal Explainers, Investigation Updates, and Key Figure Profiles — so readers can distinguish between primary source documents and secondary analysis.
Editorial standards: Every factual claim in a blog article is attributed to a named source — whether a court filing, government release, news report, or public statement. Articles include a Sources & References section linking to the specific documents and reporting cited. Analysis and opinion are presented alongside the factual record, not in place of it.
The document archive is primary source material presented without editorial modification. The blog is secondary analysis that draws on those primary sources. Both are designed to support informed public understanding of the Epstein case.
