HELICOPTER TRANSFER LOGS — ISLAND SHUTTLE SERVICE
Aircraft: Various helicopters operated by Epstein entities
Route: Cyril E. King Airport (STT) ↔ Little St. James Island
Period: 2000-2019
Source: FAA Records / USVI Investigation
OPERATIONAL DETAILS:
Jeffrey Epstein maintained helicopter service to shuttle passengers between St. Thomas and his private island, a flight of approximately 5 minutes. This service represented the final leg of travel for anyone visiting Little St. James by air.
HELICOPTER OPERATIONS:
- Helicopters operated from a landing pad at the St. Thomas airport or nearby heliport
- A dedicated helipad was constructed on Little St. James Island
- Service operated on an as-needed basis coordinated by Epstein's staff
- Multiple helicopter companies provided service under contract
PASSENGER SIGNIFICANCE:
The helicopter logs are significant because:
- They document the final transport to the island where abuse allegedly occurred
- They capture passengers who may not appear on fixed-wing flight logs
- Some visitors arrived in St. Thomas on commercial flights before transferring by helicopter
- The logs provide arrival and departure timestamps for island visits
COMPARISON WITH BOAT TRANSFERS:
Not all island visitors arrived by helicopter. Alternative methods included:
- Private boat from Red Hook, St. Thomas (approximately 20 minutes)
- Private yacht arrival directly at the island dock
- Transfer from nearby resorts or anchorages
USVI INVESTIGATION USE:
The helicopter logs were obtained by the USVI Attorney General as part of the territorial investigation and civil enforcement action against the Epstein estate. They supplemented the fixed-wing flight logs to provide a more complete picture of island visitor traffic.
