FBI VICTIM INTERVIEW SUMMARIES — 2006 INVESTIGATION
FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION
During the 2006 federal investigation of Jeffrey Epstein, FBI agents assigned to the Miami Field Office conducted a series of interviews with identified victims and potential witnesses. These interview summaries document statements made by multiple young women who described their experiences at Epstein's Palm Beach estate. The summaries were compiled as part of the investigative case file and were later partially released through Freedom of Information Act requests and court proceedings.
VICTIM STATEMENTS:
The interview summaries document accounts from multiple victims, many of whom were between the ages of fourteen and seventeen at the time of the alleged offenses. The victims described a consistent pattern: they were recruited by other young women or by associates of Jeffrey Epstein, brought to the Palm Beach residence at 358 El Brillo Way, and directed to provide massages that escalated into sexual contact. Victims reported being paid in cash, typically between two hundred and three hundred dollars per visit, and being encouraged to recruit additional girls.
RECRUITMENT NETWORK DETAILS:
Several of the interview summaries describe the referral-based recruitment network in detail. Victims stated that they were promised easy money for simple massage work. Upon arriving at the estate, they were taken to a second-floor massage room where Epstein was waiting, typically undressed or partially clothed. Multiple victims described similar sequences of events, indicating a systematic and repetitive pattern of abuse.
CORROBORATION ACROSS STATEMENTS:
The FBI summaries note significant consistency across victim statements regarding the physical layout of the Palm Beach residence, the procedures followed during visits, the involvement of household staff, and the role of Ghislaine Maxwell. Several victims independently identified Maxwell as the individual who recruited them or who was present during their visits to the property.
IMPACT ON FEDERAL CASE:
These interview summaries formed a critical component of the evidence reviewed by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida. Despite the strength of the victim testimony, the investigation resulted in the 2008 non-prosecution agreement, which was later found to have violated the Crime Victims' Rights Act in Doe v. United States (Case No. 08-80736, S.D. Fla.).
