RELEASE CONTENTS: - FBI field office reports and investigative summaries - Internal DOJ memoranda regarding prosecution decisions - Correspondence between federal agencies - Victim interview summaries (heavily redacted) - Evidence inventories from property searches - Financial transaction records (partially redacted) REDACTION CONCERNS: The December release drew immediate criticism for the extent and quality of redactions: - Key names and dates were obscured throughout - Some redactions appeared inconsistent across documents - Victim advocates noted that the redactions were so extensive as to render some documents uninformative - Lawmakers called for a more transparent approach in subsequent releases This initial release was followed by the much larger January 30, 2026 release of 3.5 million pages.
