DEPOSITION OF RINALDO RIZZO — FORMER HOUSEHOLD EMPLOYEE CIVIL DISCOVERY PROCEEDINGS Rinaldo Rizzo, a former household employee, was deposed in connection with civil litigation related to the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking investigation. Rizzo did not work directly for Epstein but was employed by another prominent individual whose social circle overlapped with Epstein's. His testimony was significant because it provided the perspective of an outside observer who witnessed concerning activity at Epstein's residences during social visits. OBSERVATIONS AT EPSTEIN RESIDENCES: Rizzo testified about multiple occasions on which he accompanied his employer to Jeffrey Epstein's properties, including the Palm Beach estate and the New York townhouse. During these visits, Rizzo stated that he observed young women who appeared to be minors present at the residences. He described an atmosphere that struck him as unusual, noting that the young women seemed to be on call and moved through the properties at the direction of staff and Ghislaine Maxwell. SPECIFIC INCIDENT TESTIMONY: Rizzo provided particularly detailed testimony about a specific incident in which he overheard a young woman in visible distress at one of Epstein's properties. He stated that the woman appeared to have been crying and was being consoled or directed by another individual in the household. Rizzo testified that this incident alarmed him and that he discussed it with his wife, who also worked in domestic service for the same employer. GHISLAINE MAXWELL'S PRESENCE: Rizzo testified that Ghislaine Maxwell was present during several of his visits to Epstein's properties. He described Maxwell as appearing to manage the household and the young women within it. Rizzo stated that Maxwell's demeanor was authoritative and that she appeared to coordinate the movements and activities of the young visitors. CORROBORATIVE VALUE: Rizzo's testimony was valuable because it came from an individual without a direct personal stake in the litigation between Epstein's victims and the defendants. His account corroborated testimony from other witnesses, including former Epstein employees, regarding the presence of young women and the role of Ghislaine Maxwell. This deposition was cited in subsequent proceedings as supporting evidence for claims of a pattern of trafficking activity.
