MARIA FARMER — FBI STATEMENT REGARDING SURVEILLANCE Source: FBI Interview / Court Records Maria Farmer was one of the earliest known victims to report Jeffrey Epstein's abuse, filing a complaint with the FBI in 1996. Her FBI statement included detailed descriptions of surveillance and monitoring at Epstein's properties. KEY STATEMENTS: - Farmer reported that she was told by Maxwell that the entire Manhattan townhouse was wired with hidden cameras - She described being shown a monitoring room with multiple video screens - She stated that Epstein appeared to know what was happening throughout his properties at all times - She described feeling watched and monitored during her time at Epstein's properties - She reported her abuse to the FBI in 1996, but no action was taken at that time SIGNIFICANCE: Farmer's 1996 FBI report is considered one of the earliest documented complaints about Epstein and Maxwell. Her description of the surveillance system predates other accounts and established that the monitoring infrastructure was in place from at least the mid-1990s. Farmer became a public advocate for Epstein victims and testified in civil proceedings. She has been credited as one of the first women to formally report Epstein's conduct to law enforcement.
