GHISLAINE MAXWELL WITNESS: Lawrence Paul Visoski Jr. ("Larry Visoski") DATE OF TESTIMONY: November 30, 2021 CALLED BY: Government WITNESS BACKGROUND: Captain Visoski testified that he served as Jeffrey Epstein's chief pilot for approximately 28 years, beginning in 1991. During that period, he estimated that he flew approximately 1,000 flights for Epstein across multiple aircraft. AIRCRAFT OPERATED: - Boeing 727-31, N908JE - Gulfstream IV-SP, N120JE - Gulfstream G550 (later acquisition) - Various helicopters for island transfers EMPLOYMENT DETAILS: Visoski testified that he was employed directly by entities controlled by Epstein. His compensation included a salary, housing near Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, and access to vehicles. He described his role as encompassing flight operations, aircraft maintenance oversight, scheduling, and crew management. KEY TESTIMONY — FLIGHT OPERATIONS: Visoski described the typical flight operation as follows: He would receive flight instructions from Epstein or Epstein's assistants, typically with short notice. Passenger lists were sometimes provided in advance but frequently changed at departure time. He maintained typed flight records that supplemented the handwritten logs kept by First Officer David Rodgers. KEY TESTIMONY — GHISLAINE MAXWELL: Visoski testified that Ghislaine Maxwell was one of the most frequent passengers on Epstein's aircraft during the 1990s and early 2000s. He described Maxwell as being Epstein's "number two" and stated that she had authority to direct flight operations and logistics. Visoski testified that Maxwell would sometimes arrange flights and passenger logistics independently. KEY TESTIMONY — PASSENGERS: When asked about young female passengers, Visoski testified that he observed young women on flights but stated that he did not know their ages and did not inquire. He acknowledged that some passengers appeared young but stated it was not his practice to verify ages or question Epstein about his guests. KEY TESTIMONY — PROPERTIES: Visoski described the regular rotation between Epstein's properties: the New York townhouse, Palm Beach estate, Zorro Ranch in New Mexico, and Little St. James Island in the USVI. He testified that Epstein maintained aircraft at or near each property for rapid transit between locations. CROSS-EXAMINATION: Defense counsel elicited testimony from Visoski that he never personally witnessed any sexual misconduct by either Epstein or Maxwell during his 28 years of employment.
